Sepia detail of the cornice of the old Childs Restaurant, located on The Boardwalk of Coney Island, Brooklyn. Once one of the great dining establishments on The Boardwalk during Coney Island's heydey, for many years its abandoned building fell into disrepair and faced demolition. Now landmarked, its facade, famous for its stucco design and terra cotta medallion detailing, is currently under restoration.
